Mike has nothing but a passion for you to pass and become a fully qualified driving instructor

He will teach you all you need to know and go through every stage

What We Will Cover

We cover all you need to do from practising the theory test right through to passing your part 3

Basic Vehicle Knowledge

We go through all the basic knowledge needed to help teach people how to drive

Highway Code

As a driving instructor you do need to know the highway code quite well so we help you lear the highway code

Driving Manouvers

We re-teach you how to do the manoeuvres so that you are able to explain and teach people that are learning to drive

Road Safety

Mike McGowan driving school is all about being safe while driving on the roads. So we teach you the best way to show your learner drivers to be safe on our roads.

Drivers Theory Examination

For you Theory test we go through the question to help you pass part one of becoming a driving instructor

Driving Test Certification

Once you have passed all three parts of becoming a driving instructor you then can apply for your badge which the allows you to help people to learn to drive with your approved DVSA badge

How much does it cost?

The price for becoming a driving instructor is £1795 this covers all training for parts 1 2 and 3 but does not include you test fees

You can pass reasonably quickly if you put the work in for the test.

No, you are not guaranteed to pass.

As a driving instructor, you are self-employed and you can pick and choose what hour that you want to help people to learn to drive

You have up to 3 times to pass your test if you fail at any part you then have to start again after a waiting period

Can I get help to pay?

If you want to become a driving instructor contact us and we can discuss this with you.

There is no charge if you give 24 hours notice

You can cancel and for a refund, you will only get back what areas you have used please contact for more information
